In protest against the arrest of Kantipur Media Group Chairman Kailash Sirohia, local youth protested by burning effigies of the Prime Minister and Home Minister at Bhanuchok on Saturday evening. The participants chanted slogans such as Prime Minister and Home Minister should resign immediately, press freedom cannot be violated, Kantipur president Sirohia should be released immediately.
The local administration mobilized a large number of security personnel to control the demonstration.
Protests and demonstrations are being held in various districts of the country against the arrest of President Sirohia.
