A discussion was held with the heads of the political parties participating in the government about the policies and programs and budget of Lumbini province on Wednesday at the office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Rapti Valley (Deukhuri).

Reflecting on the suggestions received in the discussion, the Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chetnarayan Acharya, promised to bring the policy and program and budget of the next financial year based on reality. He made it clear that the government will bring policies and programs and budget according to the actual situation of the province without creating a deficit budget.

He said that the government is preparing policies and programs and budgets to instill hope. "According to the income of the province, the size of our budget will be around 31 to 32 billion," he said.

Acharya clarified that since the government prepares the annual budget based on the policies and programs, the next year's budget will not be outside of the policies and programs. Leader of Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party and former Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary suggested making policies and programs and budget based on research. He emphasized to bring policies and programs and budget as promised to the people.

Nepali Congress President of Lumbini Province Amarsingh Pun suggested to bring policies and programs to increase attraction towards the province. He said that it is necessary to make policies and programs with good governance as a priority.

Chairman of CPN-UML Lumbini Province Radhakrishna Kandel said that policies and programs should prioritize basic sectors. He suggested that corruption control should be given priority while preparing policies and programs that would satisfy the people. He said that agriculture, education, health and enterprise development should be prioritized instead of budgeting only for physical construction so that everyone has access to it.

Deputy Leader of CPN UML Parliamentary Party Bhoj Prasad Shrestha, Chief Whip Tulsi Chaudhary, UML Secretary of Lumbini Province Lakshman Acharya and others suggested making policies and programs to properly mobilize the resources received. The discussion was attended by ministers and representatives of political parties, officials and secretaries of the Provincial Planning Commission.
