Various parties have started nomination registration for local level by-elections in Dailekh. The parties have registered their nominations in the by-elections for the Chairman of Mahabu Rural Municipality of Dailekh and the Ward Chairman of Dullu Municipality.
So far, Nepali Congress and CPN Maoist Center, United Samajwadi Party and CPN UMAL have registered nominations. Similarly, National Independent Party and RPP are preparing to nominate.
Mahabu rural municipality chairman Lachuman Gurung elected from Nepali Congress passed away on 27th January 2079 at the age of 76.
Similarly, the Ward President of Dullu Municipality-13 Birkh Bahadur Shahi, who was elected from UML, passed away on 22 Jan 2080 at the age of 65.
Jhalak Bhandari from Nepali Congress, Jung Bahadur Shahi from CPN UML, Jung Bahadur Baral from CPN Maoist Center, Prakash Budha from RSP, Jagat Hamal from United Socialist Party have nominated for president. By-elections have started in 7 local levels of Karnali.
