More than 22,000 chickens have died when a hatchery in Tamaspur below Arunkhola market was flooded. According to police station Arunkhola, all the chickens died after the flood in Sanskar Hatchery in Tamaspur on Saturday.

It is estimated that the hatchery has suffered more than one crore rupees due to flood. The poultry firm was operating under the joint investment of Cholakant Kafle and Yuvraj Kafle of Madhyabindu.

The flood in Narayani flooded the chicken coop. The police said that the 2 workers trapped in this hatchery were rescued from the boat by the armed police on Saturday night.
