Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment Geeta Chaudhary has said that the government is taking initiatives to resolve the problems seen in tea exports to India. Responding to questions raised by lawmakers during the discussion on the appropriation topic regarding the ministry on Wednesday, Minister Chaudhary informed that technical and diplomatic initiatives have been taken to resolve the problem and that it is moving in a positive direction. Tea manufacturers across the country, including Ilam, have closed their factories in the past 3 days after problems were seen in tea exports. Minister Chaudhary said that the government is working to facilitate tea exports.
