The price of gold has increased by 9,500 rupees per tola in a single day today.

The Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation has fixed the price of printed gold at Rs 318,800 per tola on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the price of one tola of gold was traded at Rs 309,300.

The price of silver has been fixed at Rs 7,300 today. On Tuesday, a tola of silver was traded at Rs 6,870. Traders have been saying that the reason for the rise in the price of gold and silver in the international market is the global tension caused by the US.

The price of gold in the Nepali market has been continuously rising due to two reasons: the increase in the price of gold in the global market and the weakening of the exchange rate of the Nepali currency against the US dollar, said Krishna Bahadur Manandhar, former acting governor of Nepal Rastra Bank.
