The government has appointed Vishwa Paudel as the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank. Minister of Communications and Information Technology Prithvisubba Gurung informed that the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday decided to appoint Paudel as the governor. He will sign the new notes to be printed now.

With this decision of the government, Poudel has become the 18th governor.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel as the coordinator recommended the names of three people for the governor. The recommendation committee meeting held on Tuesday recommended the names of Vishwa Poudel, Neelam Dhungana Timsina and Dinesh Bhattarai. According to the recommendation, Poudel was appointed as the governor in the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday.
