Nepal Rastra Bank has reduced the policy and bank rates. The National Bank has reduced the policy and bank rates while announcing the monetary policy for the current financial year.
The policy rate has been maintained at 5 percent from 5.5 percentage points. The bank rate has also been reduced. The bank rate has been maintained at 6.5 percent from 7 percent. The National Bank has stated that the deposit collection rate of 3.0 percent, which is the lower limit of the interest rate corridor, has been maintained.
