Finance Minister Barshman Pun has said that Nepal's economy demands economic reforms suitable for the new generation. Presenting the budget for the next fiscal year 2081/82 on Tuesday, Minister Pun pointed out that due to the revolution in the information technology sector, economic reform is necessary to meet the demands of the new generation.
Speaking in the Joint House of Parliament, Minister Pun mentioned that since the programs of the same nature have been repeating for years, it is necessary to break the vicious cycle of lack of capacity in economy and development management.
'Regarding the revolution in information technology, the growing use of artificial intelligence and the development of a knowledge-based economy, Nepal's economy has demanded economic reforms suitable for the new generation,' he said, 'as expected by the young generation, there is a need to increase skillful knowledge, skill innovation and entrepreneurship. Minister Pun says that the goal of prosperity should be achieved through the new program of economic reform.
