The government has made it easier for banks and financial institutions to take loans from abroad. Finance Minister Barshman Pun has said that the income tax levied on interest payments on loans taken from foreign banks and financial institutions has been reduced. He mentioned that such an arrangement was made to attract foreign capital.

Finance Minister Pune has reduced the tariff on the import of finished goods by at least 1 percent compared to the tariff on raw materials imported by the industry in terms of discount concessions, trade facilitation and investment promotion.
