Finance Minister Varshman Pun has said that the 3rd International Investment Conference-2024 was a grand success. Speaking at a sideline meeting with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, International Monetary Fund and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and ambassadors of various countries for Nepal who came to participate in the conference, he said that the conference was a success on Monday morning.
He mentioned that he was excited by the active participation of development partners in the investment conference. He said that the investment conference was successful due to the significant presence of development partners, investors and stakeholders. Minister Pun said that the attendance at the investment conference confirmed that Nepal is one of the best investment destinations in the world for investment. In the
meeting, he promised to make the cooperation with the development partners more beautiful in the future. "The investment conference has been successful due to the level of presence of investors, development partners and stakeholders", Minister Pun said, "Establishing the fact that Nepal is an emerging and attractive destination for investment and there are ample opportunities for investment here We have succeeded in doing this.' In the opening session of the
conference, not only the government but the presence and commitment of the leaders of the major opposition parties conveyed the message that the entire country is united in creating an investment environment. He thanked the development partners for their presence and commitment in the conference to support Nepal's development efforts.
'In the opening session, we heard from the leaders of the opposition party, representatives of the private sector, opposition investors and related stakeholders that a good environment has been created for investment in Nepal', he said, 'I would like to express my gratitude on behalf of the government for that support and I would like to say that this is really our collective strength. Yes.'
He expressed his happiness that the projects exhibited at the investment conference showed good interest from development partners and investors. Minister Pun pointed out that Nepal has great potential in energy, tourism, information technology, agribusiness and infrastructure projects.
