I was interested in political and social issues since childhood. Therefore, the first public movement of 2046 inspired me to take the lead in social change. Through that, I joined the communist movement. I started getting involved in political activities during the movement. I have closely observed the sufferings of women, children and the poor as well as the problems of deprived communities. I also tried my best to reduce the suffering of such communities and individuals.

In the process of working, I thought that policy is necessary to change the society and for that, I should come into politics . I spent 30 years in the UML party through Akhil Nepal Mahila Sangh.

During this period, he also got the opportunity to work in social organizations including being a community conciliator, chairman of the land commission, and secretary of the water supply organization. The experience of working in a social organization, the nature of society and the aspirations of the people have given me the opportunity to work as a representative. The responsibility to solve the problems seen and experienced in the past is on oneself. Now I have got the opportunity to work as the head of the government closest to the people. During the first opportunity to take over the lion court of the village, there was no success . In the year 2074, UML made me a candidate for Sunwal Nagar chief . At that time I was limited to the nearest competitor . Don't let defeat turn into disappointment. I am continuing the social work by being in contact with the citizens. As a result, I was elected as the head of the city in the local level elections of 2079.

Local government is the lion's palace at people's doorstep. It is paying attention not only to physical development, but also to the development of education, health, culture and customs. Citizens who are not satisfied with the functioning of the local government can come to the office and complain. People's representatives can reach the doorsteps of citizens to understand the problem. People expect development and good governance from the head of government. Even now, development means only roads, bridges, and buildings. Efforts are being made to advance social development by changing this perception. At the local level, while continuing the physical development according to the people's demand, we have also started the work by formulating a policy to raise the living standards of the poor, disadvantaged, women, children, Dalits, tribes and those left behind in the society . For this, not only one person or organization wants, but every level of citizens and social organizations in the city should strive for joint initiative and adoption . 

I won the election by announcing the construction of a prosperous and corruption-free city. Now I am trying to implement it . A help desk has been established to identify and solve the problems of the citizens when they come to the ward office or the city. The city itself is working to make it easier to make applications and other documents in every ward. Being the first child-friendly municipality in Nepal, children and women-friendly programs have been conducted to continue this. A separate school for women has been established, here female sisters who are not able to study in the school age group due to financial and family reasons are studying . Likewise, to make women self-reliant by making them entrepreneurs, a women's entrepreneur building has been constructed, where the products produced by women will be marketed along with skill training.

Apart from regular development construction and administrative work, the city has taken a long-term goal under Gaurav's project . In which construction of ring road, multi-purpose hill park, access road connecting Mahalpokhri to Palpa, construction of model settlement in Ward No. 6 and construction of religious and historical tourism site with the master plan of Mahalpokhri and Baba Bardagoria for religious tourism has progressed . Free water distribution up to 5000 liters is being implemented to provide basic health and drinking water for the poor. As a result, more than 1,400 families in the city are consuming free drinking water. I have felt that free surgery has brought ease to cataract patients under the 'Mayor's Eye Program'. After replacing the thatched roof with a zinc roof, the financially poor families have been able to live in a safe shelter. 

Although there is a desire and plan to advance the work according to public opinion, I have felt that due to some political, economic and other reasons, it is very difficult to work as planned. Due to the fact that a woman is the head of the city, voices of opposition are heard even for good work, there is also a circle of obstacles. However, in order to face the challenge, it has been decided to include everyone as much as possible and to carry out the activities of the city according to the law and the will of the people. In particular, there is an obstacle created in the efforts made to stop the leakage of revenue, the exploitation of river products . However, with the help of union and state agency offices and security personnel, I have been working hard to exploit natural resources. 

There are still some legal and policy complications for local government to work on. Which should be formulated in such a way that the rights of the central, provincial and local governments are not violated. Before there was a local government and now, economic-social development has taken leaps and bounds. Within the next 4 years, I have started formulating a plan by thanking the people. For that, the cooperation of all the townspeople is necessary . Even though the constitution does not envisage the role of the opposition at the local level, the practice of the provincial and central governments should not be tried at the local level as well . It seems that the elected must also have the courage to include all aspects . There is a need for the coordination of all three levels of government to make this regime of federal democratic republican system even stronger, sustainable and to fulfill the aspirations of good governance . Change is possible if political parties, employees and public representatives work together to enrich their municipality economically, socially, entrepreneurially and culturally.
