102 people died in the floods and landslides that occurred in Wagmati province on Friday and Saturday. According to Wagmati Province Police Office, Hetaunda, 102 people have died due to landslides in the last 2 days, apart from three districts of the valley.
According to the provincial police office, 39 people died in Dhading, 38 in Kavre, 10 in Sindhupalchok, 7 in Makwanpur, 5 in Dolakha, 1 in Ramechhap and 2 in Sindhuli due to the landslides till 6 pm on Sunday.
Dhading, Kavre, Sindhupalchok, Makwanpur, Dolakha, Sindhuli and Ramechhap in the province due to floods and landslides caused by the rain since Thursday, DSP Jitendra Basnet of the province police office Hetaunda said.
18 people have gone missing in Kavre, 2 in Sindhupalchok, and 2 in Dolakha, 22 people have gone missing due to landslides. 74 people were injured in different districts.
Most of the 42 people were injured in Kavre, while 16 were injured in Sindhupalchowk, 7 in Dhading, 3 in Makwanpur, 2 in Ramechhap and one in Nuwakot. According to the police, 98 physical structures have been completely damaged in the province due to the flood and 10 structures have been partially damaged.
36 houses have been damaged in Makwanpur, 23 in Kavre and 20 in Ramechhap, and 9 vehicles have been damaged by the flood in the province. 241 families who are at risk of floods in the province have been rescued and relocated.
87 houses and offices in Kavre, Dolakha and Makwanpur are at high risk. According to Provincial Police Office Hetouda, 4 thousand 111 policemen have been mobilized in 10 districts for search and rescue of those affected by floods and landslides in the province, said DSP Basnet.
