Due to incessant rain, the flood in Wagmati river has washed away 8 houses in Khanikhola rural municipality-6 located in Dandapari of the district. Houses located near Wagmati River in Ward No. 6 were swept away by the flood.

Local Dhan Bahadur Lama informed that the flood washed away the houses of Phul Bahadur Rumba, Hasta Bahadur Singtan, Buddhi Singtan, Prakash Singtan, Sajan Singtan, Devraj Singtan, Vikram Singtan and Uttarman Gole of the new settlement. One woman has gone missing in the flood. 

Two municipalities of Dandapari without communication

Khanikhola Rural Municipality and Mahabharat Rural Municipality in Dandapari area have lost communication. Due to the incessant rains, the electricity service was shut down and they became disconnected.

Indra Bahadur Thing, chairman of Khanikhola rural municipality, said that most of the places in the municipality were without communication links due to rain and mentioned that it was not possible to determine where and how much damage had been caused. He said that Nepal Telecom has been repeatedly requested to connect the communication link in Khanikhola and has been facing problems for two years due to lack of service connection in the dilapidated tower. 

Similarly, most of the places in Mahabharat Rural Municipality are without communication link, Kanchhalal Jimba, Chairman of Rural Municipality said. He mentioned that the communication link was cut due to the damage to the electricity transmission line due to rain.
