My friends were not spendthrift, they were frugal. I was a bit lazy. I used to feed and drink my friends. It was thought that the business would be done, the sons would earn later. I am the eldest among three brothers . When his father's property was divided into three parts, he did not have enough land to cultivate. I came to Chutraveshi to do business in the year 2048 so that my brothers can also eat the land that belongs to me. 

I was only 22 years old at that time . When I moved here in 2032, the hustle and bustle was increasing . There were bushes and jungles everywhere . There were only a few mud houses. I started the business by taking a loan from a tin box and a wooden house. 

I used to cook dal-rice, wine, meat, jerry, samosa, parauntha in this small house. At that time, the people from the village, who worked in the court, used to come to the shop and have food. At that time, it took two days on foot to reach Sandhikhark from Gokhunga, the birthplace of Malarani Rural Municipality-5. He used to eat while staying here. It would make business better.

Gokhunga can be reached in two hours from the headquarters with road facilities. The market was expanding, the traffic was increasing and my business was also getting better . Business was going well before the Corona epidemic. After the lockdown, everyone started staying indoors, no one came to the hotel, I closed the shop as there was no money to pay the rent. Till then the daily earnings were good . Four daughters and three sons had to be educated in the school at the headquarter and had to pay for the house. I used to be counted among the good snack merchants . I used to cook sukuti, meat . The circle of friends was thick . My other friends also did business . They have been saving as much as the profit in the bank . 

Covid has become a condition for me. If there was no lockdown, I would have been doing the business of sekuwa, sukuti, jerry, samosa in the rented house. Two/four money was in hand . I didn't even buy money, I didn't even save in the bank . More than 6 lakh borrowed money was not raised. 

Due to the lockdown, the money was all gone after eating for four years. Even though the money ran out, the housekeeper didn't let her stay that long . After that, I started doing small business in a cart next to Bangikhola bridge connecting Sandhikhark-Chutraveshi market. I am sitting on the bank of the river. All day long, I make jerry, pakoda, samosas, eggs and sell them by this bridge . At first, customers who come to my hotel and eat lunch do not eat . Now there are new customers from the village. I do business of one thousand rupees a day . Morning-evening rice, lunch is hardly enough. Now I am 72 years old . My wife, Mani Pun, who is two years younger than me, has a headache and wrist pain. Medicines should be continued. 

He wants to return to the village in his old age. But, what to do if there is no land . Here you can see money by doing business as long as you can. Life is like this. Sometimes I feel sad, my heart cries . If I had not spent money while doing business, if I had saved, I would have lived in a house, or if I had only connected the clock. I educated my three sons and four daughters in the city . Proud of this. I got all my daughters married. The youngest son got married and a grandson was born, my son and daughter-in-law help me . Jetho and Milo are in Dubai . Now I am living in the hope and trust of my son. 

Although I am in the village, I hope that if I buy a house, I will go and live there . Earnings from trading all day by the bridge are not much saved . I save one/two hundred daily in Saathi Cooperative . Sometimes that money can be used to buy medicine, sometimes for other expenses. Now there is only 3 thousand rupees left in the account . Krishna Prasad Shrestha, the head of Sandhikhark Municipality, came to see the tower where I was staying. Seeing my suffering, he said that he should stay here now, he will arrange something later. My heart would be happy if they made me a place to live and a small house .
