I have operated a numbered sweets shop in Libang Bazar. Although I was born in Terai, I have been sharing the taste of samosas, jeripuri, vegetables and sweets in the mountains for 10 years.

You have to wake up at 4:30 a.m. every day and make vegetables, puri, jerry, sweets . I have prepared all the breakfast by 6:30. School, campus students, sirs and car passengers come to have breakfast without light. I give fresh breakfast to everyone.

Kapilvastu has a residence in Shivraj Municipality-9. First, my father started this profession in Kapilvastu. I learned to make samosas, sweets and snacks from my father. After shopping in Kapilvastu for 6/7 years, I came to Rolpa . We also have our cellar mill at home . My brother has driven that.

I have 4 children . One studies in class 9 . Two brothers and sisters study in 7 . The elder son is also going to school . He cannot speak . I am sending him to school to keep him busy . All of them study in the public school here . The child has to pay for lunch when he goes to school . It takes 150 rupees for 4 people a day . Sometimes I give lunch from the shop . 6/7 thousand in a month only for food expenses.

I have taken some loan from the bank . It also has to pay its installments . I have a sweet shop in a rented house. Rent is expensive . Wife helps in business . 2,000 to 3,500 is traded daily. It is very challenging to collect all the expenses of the month as the business is less. When the 25th of the month comes, there is a lot of stress. There was a situation where we had to add land near the house, we took a loan from the bank and added it. Bank installments and house rent must be paid. Sometimes I have been paying everything by taking a loan from my brother-in-law. A lot of financial burden has been added . The situation is difficult.

The cost of educating children on campus is going to increase . At first I only sold sweets . The demand for vegetables, puri and jerry also came here. Later I also added chowmin . There are no customers. Now the business has decreased in the last situation . All goods must be procured from outside . Potatoes needed to make samosas are cheaper to bring from Terai than here. If you try to buy local here, it will be expensive. Similarly, oil, flour, sugar and other goods should be brought from Terai. Thinking of adding some items . But business is low . In between, I added roti vegetables and curd dishes, but it didn't sell well . Everyone chooses chickpeas.

Magar Kham speakers are also my clients. I am a period speaker. It is mandatory to speak Nepali language, sometimes you have to understand Kham Magar language as well . If the elderly people come from the village, they ask for breakfast in Kham language. In that case, I also try to understand Kham Magar language .

Even though I was born in Terai, I have done business in the mountains. Here are also my favorite friends, who help me when I am happy . I have also won their hearts, they have also won my hearts . There is a good relationship between us who are born in different languages, different castes and different environments. This is the happy thing .

I couldn't read it myself. Even though there was a school near home, I studied only up to 4th standard . It was like that at that time, there was no interest in studying . No one could read up to the upper level at home . But there is a desire to teach the children . There is a desire to educate children and make them big people . I want them to be able to study and get a job as much as possible . I think there is a big difference between reading and not reading . In the future, only those who are educated can live well . They can live life only if they can study up to 12th standard.

The most difficult situation had to be faced during the lock down . At that time I also suffered like others. Even now, due to the increase in prices, the expenses have also increased . After having more children, the expenses have increased . However, the goal is to continue the shop by suffering. He wants to pay the bank loan, educate his children and continue working. Even though the income is not as expected, it has been possible to come to a new place and taste a new taste. Enjoyed it .
