Our family of 6 is living in Dera at Siddharth Nagar-6 in Rupandehi, Bhaiyatol in Gallamandi. I am 29 years old. Own land, house, nothing. There is no need to raise household expenses for those who have nothing.

That's why I do business by going to the market all day long to collect the room rent and the cost of eating in the evening and in the morning. In particular, it has become like our ancestral profession . My father also raised us by trading in carts.

6 years ago, my father sent me to Qatar by spending 2.5 lakhs including the money he had collected and the sarsapti. When I reached Qatar at the age of 23, I was also working hard. On the other hand, the livelihood of the Zenten family was going on because the father's cart was running. In the meantime, when my father started to fall ill, there was a 'break' in the cart . After the business stopped, it became impossible to maintain daily living at home.

After the father passed away, the mother started calling him repeatedly asking him to come back from Qatar immediately. On the other hand, there was no one to take care of the family as my sister was very young. I worked in Qatar for three years. His father died five days after he left his job and reached home. Thinking that who does not experience pain in life, I took out the bag that my father had stored and started the business again . Soon after I got married. Now have a three year old son .

is not always the trade of the same goods . Business changes according to the season . In Bhairahawa market, I spend time roasting peanuts in cold yams and selling them . Summer has started now. So I started putting coconuts, melons and cucumbers in the basket. As I don't have money to do other business, I have to rely on this kind of retail business . The education of Bhai and Baini, who reached the 7th standard, was stopped as they did not have enough income to meet the household expenses. My brother also got some help after looking for an autorickshaw on rent for four months.

We have taken four rooms in two houses by paying 7,000 per month since we could not rent a house for all the family members. After saying that I am a peddler, no one readily agreed to rent a house. 17,000 to 20,000 per month is spent on consumables and mother's medicine and treatment. Every month, mother's heart should be taken to the hospital for ECG, Echo and other tests, and regular medicine should be taken.

I earn 500 per day from the cart business and my brother saves 5/7 thousand per month by driving an auto. The old-age allowance received by the mother is not even enough to pay for medicine . About 8,000 a month is spent on medicine treatment.

The doctor has said that mother's heart has to be operated and for that it will cost 5-6 lakh rupees . He said that until the operation is done, regular check-ups and medication should be continued. On the other hand, the responsibility of marrying my brother and sister-in-law is also on my shoulders. Worrying about how to raise the funds to complete all these tasks sometimes keeps me up all night .

Most of the money the brothers earn goes into paying room rent . Sometimes they had their own two-room house, and it seems that the family was living with the money they paid for the rent. When there is such a wave and worry, I have shared my sorrows with my friends who make a living by rolling baskets like me to calm my mind . Now the prices of rice, flour, cooking gas, vegetables, milk, sugar etc. have increased in Bhairahawa.

Where is it so easy to earn two/four money by selling baskets in the market? The drain should be hung over the drain. I hear that the municipality is closing the thela business there too . Sometimes, if the city or traffic police arrive while the business is going on, they have to run away. If you run away like that, the bag will get damaged and you will also get hurt. It is difficult for those who do not have a source of income to make a living happily.
