Despite being a resident of the border, Sahariya does not have many desires. Earning two meals a day and one nana for the family by working hard all day has become the main task. At the age of 27, he had to carry a heavy burden of responsibility. It has been 4 years since he started driving an autorickshaw after living in Virgunj Metropolitan City-12 Murli. Days pass by walking through the streets of Birganj city.

Every morning I wake up at 5:30 am and take an autorickshaw to leave home . Tea is not brewed at home, because it is expensive outside, they have not made a habit of drinking it . After driving an auto rickshaw all day, I return to the room around 7 pm. 

auto is not mine either . I used to pay rent of 800 rupees daily. As soon as you can leave the house, you don't even have a place to eat in the hope of earning. On free days, I go back to my room and eat . Otherwise, I have gone out to eat at the hotel . When eating at the hotel, a simple meal costs 150 rupees per person.

auto fare is set at a minimum of 10 to 30 rupees per passenger. Even though it can carry a maximum of 7 passengers at a time, where can you find them? Passengers who don't like to sit in a coach look for an auto with an empty seat . Therefore, even if you are carrying few passengers, you should do the carving. Driving an auto earns 14/15 hundred rupees a day. Out of that, after paying 800 rent to the moneylender, 6/700 rupees will be left in hand . The family has to cover the household expenses with that amount. Five of us, parents, wife and one daughter, are renting two rooms.   Even if it is sad like

, we bring fish and meat and eat it one day in a week . On other days, although rice is regular, pulses and vegetables are cooked alternately. Earlier, when there were less auto rickshaws in the city, the income was reasonable. Now, the income is decreasing at the rate of increasing inflation . It is not time to get old age allowance because parents are not old enough. My income is sufficient for food . When I am sick, I arrange expenses with my relatives and neighbors for treatment. 

Since there is no house/farm in your name, you have to buy everything you need . House rent, ration, medicines, gas cylinders etc. are spent around 20,000 per month. Festivals are not cut without seeking loans. But you have to earn 3/4 months to pay the same loan . 6,000 ration water, 5,000 room rent, 1,950 rupees are spent on gas cylinders every month. 1000 to 1200 electricity bill comes. The hotel where you eat in the morning costs about 4,500 per month. My daughter has not yet purchased a copy-book. Last Dasain, I brought 2500 worth of toys for my daughter from the fair. Nanny hasn't gotten a new toy since. 

If the current income is doubled, some amount would be saved by household expenses. Can't live without food to reduce expenses . Now it is very difficult to collect ration in the evening and in the morning. So far, even though Zenten is running, after her daughter starts going to school, she is worried about how to meet the expenses from next year. At such times, I consult with my wife and calm my mind. After the daughter started going to school, the wife has also been advised to do some kind of work .
