The culture of entrepreneurship is gradually flourishing in Nepal. But when starting a new business, not everything is easy - sometimes difficult situations arise, sometimes it is difficult to find the right team, sometimes it is a challenge to raise investment. However, there is no doubt about one thing – there are countless possibilities in Nepal. With proper planning, patience and continuous efforts, excellent entrepreneurial opportunities can be created here.

I started my own business journey with this thought in mind. As I pursued my career after passing CA, I was always curious about the possibilities of financial management, business operations and entrepreneurship. This interest turned me from a job at an audit firm to my own startup, where I started not only looking for opportunities, but creating opportunities myself.

It's been 6 years since I passed my CA. After completing my CA, I did an internship in Delhi for 3 years. After that, I returned to Nepal and worked in an audit firm for one and a half years. However, the work was stopped due to covid. Then I worked with my husband as COO in the startup 'Hamro Academy'. Now I am running 'Bright Academy', where ACCA is taught. Through 'AS Trainings', I am giving training in accounting, tax system (taxation) and other subjects in a way that gives practical knowledge.

Keeping in mind the lack of financial literacy, I am trying to explain complex financial issues in a language everyone can understand through social media. Through video content, I am making people aware about tax system, accounting, financial planning. I was also attracted towards business after listening to my husband's startup journey.

The team is very important in the beginning of entrepreneurship. When we started the business, we overcame many challenges easily because of the good team. When a technical problem came up in the business, we proceeded by learning on our own. Like running an academy, had to work with CAs. But it was difficult to meet their timings. There was also a situation of taking online classes at night. However, when the team worked together, it became easier to solve the problem.

It's been a year since Bright Academy started. The study of CA has helped me a lot in this. From financial management to management skills taught, the entrepreneurial journey has not been difficult. It has also helped businesses by creating content on social media. When I shared my experience of studying CA on social media, many other queries started coming. Then I started creating content on financial topics.

My first video was about additional VAT charged by restaurants. This video has reached a million views. Today such work has had a positive impact on my business. Many students have come to enroll ACCA after watching my content and want to take training.

In Nepal, you can start a startup by finding a solution to any problem. Any service or product that solves problems, makes everyday life easier, has a high chance of success. Due to the lack of development in our country, there are many problems, which can be solved by conducting business. When doing entrepreneurship, it is important to understand that the main thing is 'will my product or service be sold or not?' For business, you should understand the customer's demand before selling. Businesses that address their needs survive.

Another challenge of entrepreneurship in Nepal is maintaining a team. Employee turnover in startups is high. Most interns are preparing to go abroad, which makes it difficult to build a long-term team. But the youth needs patience and the habit of constant effort. Be it a job or a venture, patience is essential.

If you want to start any journey, you have to start, many people spend time preparing. Even if it is not perfect at the beginning, it should be improved continuously. Even during 'content creation', extensive research should be done, so that the content is reliable and useful. The more research you do, the better content you can produce.

The startup culture in Nepal is also growing rapidly. Doing business in the digital age has also become easier. What used to be done physically can now be done online. The office had to be opened, but not now. There are plenty of opportunities that can be started at low cost.

In today's competitive market, simply having a good service or product is not enough. Equally important is your identity, credibility and influence. Personal branding is the art of effectively presenting your knowledge, skills and experience, which makes you stand out from the crowd. When you are known as an expert in your field, customers automatically start to trust you. Not only business, but also opportunity comes to you. So personal branding is a key strategy for success in the digital age.

Many young people are now depressed, the main reason for which is the country's economy. Nepal does not have a good payout compared to other countries, which can lead to early depression. Many feel that a better future is possible only by going abroad. It is not bad to go abroad if you think that your work is better evaluated abroad. But it is important to understand that one can contribute to Nepal even by staying outside.

The main challenge of youth is the tendency to seek quick results. But youth is also a time to develop many skills and abilities. It is necessary to make a habit of learning a lot, gaining experience, acquiring knowledge from different sources. Rather than being patient and expecting immediate success, it is better to think of proving it through work.

You have to make a habit of creating a strong network and finding opportunities by creating a good circle. Networking is very important. Regularity and consistency are not huge achievements at once, but continuous improvement is the key to success. There are many business opportunities in Nepal. The key is to operate a solution-oriented business, understanding what the country and society need. Success is possible if you move forward with patience, hard work and the right team.
