Three members of the All India Students' Union (AISA) Neha, Amin and Manish have ended their hunger strike on the 23rd day at Delhi's Jantar Mantar. According to BBC Hindi , they broke their hunger strike after an appeal from various social activists, leaders and public representatives.
According to AISA, a delegation led by MPs Manoj Jha, Rajaram Singh and Amra Ram had reached Jantar Mantar to break the hunger strike. Yogendra Yadav, advocate Prashant Bhushan, professor Atul Sood, artist Prakash Raj and Shabana Azmi had also appealed to the students to break their hunger strike. They broke their hunger strike after talking to the delegation. MP Jha said that the student movement has forced the government to speak on many issues.
Along with educationist, environmental activist and innovator Sonam Wangchuk, these students have been on an indefinite hunger strike since June 28, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Pradhan and reforms in the examination and education system. Wangchuk, on the 21st day of his indefinite hunger strike, was forcibly taken to Safdarjung Hospital by Delhi Police on Saturday. Wangchuk has put forward 3 conditions for breaking the fast. 
Wangchuk wrote on his X handle, 'Dear friends and supporters, Many of you have been asking when I will end my fast.' As I have said before, I will end my fast on July 20, if the government accepts responsibility for the recent incidents of educational malpractices like question paper leakage or if the MPs and leaders of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) reach Parliament and political parties commit to raising this issue in Parliament, then I will end my fast or if it is not possible for me to continue the fast due to health or any other reason, I will end it, but for that, MPs and leaders of various political parties will have to come to the hospital and give this assurance.'
Delhi Police said that around 8,000 youths have gathered in the Jantar Mantar area at this time. Although the march was scheduled to reach Parliament at 9 am on Monday as per Wangchuk's call, the police have stopped it midway as they have put up barricades at various places.
CJP has been saying that they have demanded accountability from the government and that the door is open for talks. The police, however, have said that permission for the march has not been taken. According to Hindustan Times , the police have even lathi-charged the youths.
