Kakroch Janata Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurabh Das has said that founder Abhijit Deepke was picked up by the Delhi Police from the street. Spokesperson Das informed that CJP founder Deepke was picked up by the police a while ago.
Das wrote in X, 'The police have picked up Deepke. We urge all MPs to come out on the streets in support of the students. The police have brutally beaten up the peaceful protest.'
Das also informed that after waiting for almost two hours, he submitted a written demand to Union Health Minister JP Nadda. Earlier, the news of Das and another spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka going to meet JP Nadda was made public. Giving information about the meeting with Nadda, Das said, 'After waiting for more than 2 hours, we met JP Nadda ji for 10 minutes at his residence.' We have given a written letter with our demands. He has said that we will talk internally.'
Samajwadi Party MPs were also arrested on Monday. Security personnel made arrests during the 'Chalo Sansad' march in New Delhi on Monday at the call of the CJP. Security personnel tried to stop the marchers when a large number of people gathered at Jantar Mantar were about to go to the Parliament building.
According to Indian media, the police even resorted to lathicharge to disperse the participants in the march. Delhi Police has been saying that permission cannot be given for the march. Even though the monsoon session of Parliament has started since Monday, the protesters want to reach the Parliament building and put forward their demands.
