Switzerland have won Group B of the 2026 World Cup. The team defeated co-hosts Canada 2-1 in Vancouver. Both teams had already qualified for the knockout stage.
Both teams failed to create much of a chance in the first half. It took the Swiss team less than 60 seconds to open their account after the break. Ruben Vargas stunned the home crowd with a brilliant pass from Johann Manzambi. Manzambi added a second goal in the 57th minute.
Promise David pulled one back for Canada in the 76th minute. Nathan Saliba provided him with a great pass. Despite attacking the Swiss post in the final 15 minutes, Canada failed to score more goals.
Bosnia's strong chances
Bosnia-Herzegovina's chances of entering the knockout stage have also become strong . The team defeated Qatar 3-1 in a match held in Seattle, USA Switzerland
At Seattle Stadium, 18-year-old left winger Kerim Alajbegovic scored a brilliant goal in the 29th minute, beating two Qatari players. Six minutes later, Sultan Al-Brake scored an own goal to double Bosnia's lead. 
Hassan Al-Haydos scored in the 43rd minute to bring Qatar back into the game. But Bosnia's Ermin Mahmiz scored a deflection in the 82nd minute to seal the victory. This was Qatar's 10th goal in three matches at the World Cup.
Qatar became the sixth team to be eliminated from the group stage of this World Cup. Qatar, the 2022 World Cup host and Asian champion, has yet to win a total of six matches at the World Cup.
