Nepal, who came in to bat after losing the toss, was all out for 113 runs in 20 overs at the College Tuenku Jaffer Oval in Kuala Lumpur. Despite losing 7 wickets while scoring 67 runs, Nepal made a challenging total thanks to the efforts of experienced Sita Rana Magar and Rubina Chhetri.
The two shared a 40-run partnership for the eighth wicket in 5 overs. Sita scored 37 runs in 28 balls with 6 fours. Rubina scored 24 runs in 21 balls with 3 fours. Opener Dechen Wangmo scored an unbeaten 39 runs in 60 balls and hit 5 boundaries. Apart from that, Chado Ommatra scored a double. She added 11 runs. For Nepal, Rubina took 3 wickets for 15 runs in 4 overs. Similarly, Riya Sharma took 2 wickets and Kavita and Manisha Upadhyay took 1 wicket each.
