Nepal has reached the Super Six of ICC Twenty-20 World Cup Asia-East Asia Pacific Cricket Qualifiers. Although Nepal did not enter the field on Thursday in the tournament being held in Oman, the results of other matches led to the second round.

After Japan shocked Kuwait by 5 wickets on Thursday, Japan and Nepal entered the Super Six from Group 'B' before playing 1 match. Japan and Nepal are competing in the final match of the group stage on Friday. The team that wins this match will have an extra point in the Super Six . 

Nepal defeated Kuwait by 58 runs on Wednesday. After Japan also won, Kuwait lost two games within 24 hours and was eliminated from the tournament. 

After Japan won the toss, Kuwait was invited to bat and scored 177 runs after losing 6 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. From the team, Clint Anto scored 34 off 28 balls with 3 fours and 1 six, Meet Bhavsar scored 29 off 24 balls with 3 fours and 1 six, Ali Zahir scored 41 off 31 balls with 4 fours and 1 six and Yasin Patel scored 40 runs off 28 balls with 1 four and 3 sixes.

After Isam Rahman scored 64 runs, Japan completed the target in 19.3 overs . Rahman hit 9 fours and 2 sixes in 39 balls.
