Police vs Army in Jai Trophy final

Nepal Police Club and Tribhuvan Army Club are going to compete for the Jai Trophy Elite Cup cricket tournament title. The league stage matches of the four-team competition were held in a two-day structure. But now the final match will be three days.

Police Club defeated Bagmati Pradesh by 5 wickets on Sunday at Janakpur's Ramjanaki multi-purpose stadium. The police did not have to face much challenge to win the Bagmati. 

Police completed the target of 116 runs in 23 overs. Although opener Dilip Nath was dismissed for 4 runs, Kushal Bhurtel and Amit Shrestha played aggressively and shared a partnership of 43 runs off 32 balls. Kushal, who is captaining in the absence of Arif Sheikh, scored 32 runs by hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes in 19 balls. 

Amit who scored 79 runs in the first innings also scored a half century in the second innings. He hit 9 fours while scoring 56 runs off 45 balls. Shankar Rana was dismissed for 1 and Rashid Khan for 0. Arjun Saud remained unbeaten on 20 and Prem Tamang on 1 run. Bagmati captain Sandeep Lamichhane took 2 wickets and Nandan Yadav, Pratish GC and Surya Tamang took 1 wicket each. 

Bagmati's second innings, which started the second day's match with 8 runs without loss, ended with 218 runs in 53 overs. Rit Gautam and Shubh Kansakar added 109 runs for the second wicket after Ishan Pandey was dismissed for 3 runs. Shubh, who completed his half-century in 44 balls, scored 72 runs in 74 balls. He hit 10 fours and 1 six. 

Police vs Army in Jai Trophy final

Rit played 93 balls and scored 52 runs with 8 fours. Roshan Wick 4, Uttam Thapamagar 14, Prateek Shrestha 13, Nandan 10, Sandeep 16, Pratish 3 runs out. The pair of Surya and Rijn Dhakal shared 24 runs in the last wicket. Surya played 30 balls hitting 2 fours and got out for 16 runs.

Region remained unbeaten for 10 runs. Debrehate spinner of police Lalit Rajwanshi spent 59 runs in 20 overs, Shravan Yadav spent 33 runs in 9 overs and spent 2 and Gulshan Jha, Rashid, Kushal and Prem took 1 wicket each. The final match of Jai Trophy will be held at Narayani Stadium in Birganj. The police team will reach Birgunj on Monday to play the final. 

Army wins by 8 wickets

Tribhuvan Army Club has defeated Madhesh Pradesh by 8 wickets in Jai Trophy men's elite two-day cricket. At the Narayani stadium, the Army completed the target of 28 runs with the loss of 2 wickets and secured its place in the final.  Madhesh Pradesh, who followed the

, scored only 150 runs in the second innings, and Army got a small target. After scoring only 123 runs in the first innings, Madhes was behind by 123 runs. Mayan Yadav scored the highest 49 runs from Madhesh in the second innings. Captain Harishankar Sah added 25 runs. Abhishek Tiwari was dismissed for 19 runs and Neeraj Yadav for 17 runs. Army's Basir Ahmed took four wickets. He spent 23 runs with 7 maidens in 20.1 overs. Army bowler Shahab Alam, who took 6 wickets in the first innings, took 3 wickets in the second innings and Akash Chand took 2 wickets. Shahab was declared the player of the match. 

Army had completed the target of 28 runs in 6 overs. Imran Shaikh scored 8 runs and Basir Ahmed remained not out with 4 runs. Madhesh's Pradeep Paswan dismissed Army's Tritraj Das for 13 and Santosh Karki for 4 runs. Army, who lost the toss and batted, announced the end of the first innings at 225-9. Basir Aham scored 67 runs, Bhim Sarki scored 52 runs and Imran scored 42 runs. From Madhesh, Ranjit Kumar took 5 and Pradeep Paswan 2, Abhishek and Harishankar took 1 each.  In the

reply, Madhesh was bowled out for 102 runs in 35.5 overs and the team fell into the follow-on. Shahab took 6 wickets, Sompal Kami, Akash Chand, Basir and Pawan took 1 wicket each.
