Janakpur Bolts, who won the title of the first edition of Nepal Premier League (NPL), have been given a grand welcome in their hometown. Janakpur Bolts started their victorious journey from the premises of the proposed Ramzan International Stadium in Janakpur on Friday.
Janakpur Bolts marquee player Asif Sheikh, captain Anil Shah, Lalit Rajvanshi, Sher Mall and other players participated in the rally. Similarly, Roshan Singh, the owner of Bolts, who is also the vice-president of the Nepal Cricket Association, and Sobhakant Pandey, the president of the Dhanusha Cricket Association, are also participating in the rally. Janakpur Bolts won the historic title of NPL after defeating Sudurpaschim Royals by 5 wickets in the
final. Madhesh Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh inaugurated the victory rally.
Through Thapachowk in Janakpur, hundreds of fans have also participated in the rally along with trophies, players of Janakpur Bolts in different parts of the city.
After reaching the Janaki temple, Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan city told the players There is a program of welcome and respect. Flowers have been showered from the roof on the vehicle in which the players were riding in the rally organized in conjunction with the Dhanusha Cricket Association. Janakpur Bolts have a program to display trophies in all 8 districts of Madhesh Pradesh.
