Prime Minister Balendra Shah's chief political advisor, along with three members of the secretariat, have become central members of the National Independent Party. The Prime Minister's chief political advisor Ashim Shah, policy, administration and good governance advisor Sudip Dhakal and personal undersecretary Prakriti Dhaka have registered their candidacies for the central membership of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party.

The Prime Minister's chief political advisor Shah has registered his candidacy for the open Muslim inclusion cluster of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party. Shah had played a role in the talks between the Rashtriya Swatantra Party and the then mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Balendra Shah, stating that cooperation between alternative political forces was necessary in line with the spirit of the Gen-G movement of last Bhadra 23-24.

A 7-point agreement was reached between Rashtriya Swatantra Party President Ravi Lamichhane and the then mayor Shah at his office in Kamalpokhari. Based on that agreement, Shah entered the Rashtriya Swatantra Party as the candidate for the Prime Minister. Shah was elected as a member of the House of Representatives in the 2079 elections.

He is currently working as the Prime Minister's political advisor. He is also the coordinator of the task force formed by the government to prepare a debate paper for the constitutional amendment. Similarly, Sudip Dhakal, the Prime Minister's policy, administration and good governance advisor, has also registered his candidacy for the central member of the RSVP.

When Shah was the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Dhakal was working as the information, technology and good governance advisor. The RSVP had also made him a proportional candidate in the last House of Representatives election. He was also a member of the committee formed to prepare the party's election manifesto. Dhakal has a bachelor's degree in computer engineering, an MBA in management and a master's degree in disaster risk management.

Similarly, Prakriti Dhakal, who works as a personal undersecretary in the Prime Minister's Secretariat, has also registered her candidacy for the central member of the RSVP. She has registered her candidacy for the open central member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). She has been active in public health, social security, policy research, youth leadership development and management of non-profit organizations.

Dhakal, who works as a personal deputy secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, is working on public policy, strategic planning and inter-ministerial coordination. Dhakal has a master's degree in 'Global Health Policy' from the prestigious academic institution 'London School of Economics and Political Science' in the UK.
