In a multi-party system, different parties are formed based on political views. Different organizations can be affiliated with those parties. This is a completely democratic thing: MP Magar

National Assembly NCP MP Suresh Kumar Ale Magar has demanded that the government immediately withdraw the decision to ban student organizations. In the National Assembly meeting on Sunday, MP Magar urged the government to immediately revoke the decision, claiming that it reflects the autocratic dictatorship of the Panchayat era.
'It has been reported in various media outlets that this government has banned student organizations affiliated with various parties. In a multi-party system, various parties are formed based on political views. Various organizations can be affiliated with those parties. This is a completely democratic thing. This is a democratic practice,' MP Magar said. He also said that he feels that the current government is democratic. He further said, 'If that is the case, the Government of Nepal should immediately revoke this decision to ban student organizations. It should be withdrawn.'
MP Magar also said that the government should be aware that anyone has the right to choose parties in a multi-party system.
The 'One Hundred Agenda' brought by the Council of Ministers led by Balendra Shah mentions that the structure of partisan student organizations will be removed from schools/universities within 60 days and a student council and voice of student mechanism will be developed within 90 days. The government has taken the initiative to remove the partisan student structure with the conclusion that the educational environment has deteriorated due to increasing partisan interference in the education sector.
While some who have seen and experienced extreme distortions and anomalies in student organizations are supporting the government's announcement, on the other hand, there is criticism that instead of moving towards reform, student organizations that have been carrying a legacy for decades are being tried to be dismantled. There is a voice that needs to be regulated rather than controlled over student organizations.
