As the election approaches, political parties have intensified their election campaigns through physical and digital means. While candidates are busy door-to-door and holding small rallies, parties are preparing election campaign strategies at the center.

Candidates from Congress, UML, Nepali Communist Party, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, Janamat and other parties are going door to door within the limits of the election code of conduct . During the door-to-door campaign, they have not only sought votes, but have also listened to complaints and suggestions . However, meetings for the elections are only allowed from 4 Falgun .

Congress has entered the election with the main issue of 'Let's change Congress, let's change the country' . The virtual meeting of the Congress Central Working Committee held on Sunday has passed the election campaign guidelines .

The guidelines prepared by Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma mentions the commitment of 'My 21 days for Falgun 21' . 'According to the policy that whoever has official responsibilities, he will work there,' said Vice President Sharma .

The Congress has stated that the representatives assigned by the center, provinces, districts and regions to specific places with specific responsibilities will return to their own districts/regions/municipalities and wards after completing their work at the same place. ‘Except for those who have gone elsewhere with specific responsibilities, party office bearers and members at all other levels will remain focused on their respective areas, municipalities and wards,’ the decision of the Central Working Committee states, ‘Active members of one ward will not go to another ward but will work in their own ward with the slogan ‘We will win our ward’.’

The Congress is going to mobilize in the elections with the conclusion that it is more effective when leaders and workers work in their own constituencies, wards and neighborhoods. ‘All those affiliated with the party’s fraternal and well-wishing organizations will fulfill their responsibilities accordingly,’ the Congress has instructed.

Congress has intensified the party's election campaign through social media by forming a digital team. Congress President Gagan Thapa is reaching his constituency Sarlahi-4 as well as other areas. Vice President Sharma is not a candidate.

UML has entered the election with the main slogan 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali'. It has urged people to vote for its party for decisive national power.

UML has deployed leaders in the areas where it has taken responsibility. Chairman KP Sharma Oli is on a door-to-door campaign in his constituency Jhapa-5. He has not reached other districts for election campaigning. Vice President Prithvi Subba Gurung, Bishnu Poudel, Gokarna Bista, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel and other leaders are focused on their constituencies.

UML has formed an election mobilization committee under the coordination of Vice President Ram Bahadur Thapa. A campaign policy has been formulated under the leadership of the head of the publicity department, Min Bahadur Shahi. A team has been prepared to create digital content to help the party win across the country. ‘The election action plan is being prepared, the schedule of leaders for meetings and programs is also being prepared,’ Shahi said, ‘There is a request that the chairman has to come to many places.’ Candidates, leaders and activists have been mobilized in their respective constituencies.'

The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has started a campaign urging them to win for 'economic prosperity, good governance and social justice'. The NCP has decided not to hold a large election rally. Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal have participated in election programs in various districts. This week, Dahal is preparing to visit his constituency Rukum East and Nepal Rautahat-1. Coordinator Dahal will also visit other districts as needed, informed his chief personal secretary Govinda Acharya.

Agni Sapkota, coordinator of the election campaign committee, said that this time, a policy has been made to prioritize programs that connect with the people over large rallies. 'We are preparing a modified program rather than the traditional election campaign.' We will focus on door-to-door campaigning to make our campaigning effective,' he said. 'There will be corner meetings, interactions, dialogues, and deliberations as needed.'

The NCP has classified the constituencies into three groups and formulated an election strategy. The NCP has a policy of focusing on 56 constituencies, focusing on 67 constituencies, and looking at the rest of the constituencies in a general manner.

The NCP has been monitoring the effectiveness of the election campaign from the center.

Sapkota said that the election campaign will be made effective by using digital technology. 'The digital team is preparing campaign materials,' he said. 'Materials including the work done by our party while leading the government, our vision, and the characteristics of the leaders are being prepared.'

The NCP is preparing campaign materials based on the basic principle of 'choosing those who know'. The NCP has given the main emphasis on public dialogue in the elections. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is preparing to hold rallies in all seven provinces. Having already held an election rally in Janakpur, it is now planning to hold rallies in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and the Far West.

According to Bodh Narayan Shrestha, deputy head of the RSS's organization department, the candidates have given the main emphasis on public dialogue during the election campaign. 'We have started public dialogue under the Election Mobilization Committee. We have been going to the neighborhoods and listening to complaints. We are taking suggestions,' he said, 'The president, senior leaders and others will address the rally to be held after 4 Falgun.'

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party has entered the election with the issue of 'royalty, Hindu nation'. Preparations are underway to form a mobilization committee under the coordination of Vice President Buddhiman Tamang to hold door-to-door campaigns and rallies nationwide from February 4.

‘The president and other leaders will participate in the election program by dividing their work areas,’ said Vice President Tamang, ‘We have tried to reach out to voters through digital means. We have formed a digital team for content production.’

JSP Nepal President Upendra Yadav and Janmat President CK Raut are busy with the election campaign in the districts of Madhesh. They have prioritized the issues of federalism, inclusiveness, proportional representation, and good governance. Parties including Ujjaya Nepal and CPN-Maoist are also in the election campaign.
