Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) central member Araniko Pandey has withdrawn his name from the closed list of proportional representation candidates. He announced his removal from the closed list on Monday via Facebook.
Pandey said that he informed the decision to remove his name at the central committee meeting held on Sunday night. He said that he did not see the justification for being on the closed list due to the recent political developments.
He wrote on Facebook, ‘I always try to choose the right path to contribute to the country and society. Since I did not see the justification for remaining on the proportional list in the recent political situation, I informed my friends about the decision to remove my name at the central committee meeting held last night.’
He expressed gratitude to the leadership that took the decision to include him in the closed list. He also expressed his commitment to be active in helping the party win in the upcoming elections.
