The Election Commission has stated that all preparations have been completed for the schedule for political parties to submit closed lists for the proportional electoral system today under the 2082 House of Representatives elections.
According to the schedule made public by the commission, the parties will have to submit their closed lists for the proportional electoral system to the commission today and tomorrow, spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai informed.
He said that the closed lists for the proportional electoral system submitted by the parties between December 13 and 14 will be investigated from December 15 to 20. After the commission investigates the closed lists until December 20, the schedule is to ask the parties to reconcile them from December 21 to 27. The commission has stated that it will be examined whether the closed lists prepared by the parties are correct or not from December 28 to January 3. The closed list will be published on January 4. Spokesperson Bhattarai also informed that the final list will be published on January 20. One hundred political parties have registered their parties to participate in the proportional electoral system through 93 symbols. Only political parties that have registered their parties to participate in the proportional electoral system will be allowed to submit their lists of candidates for the closed list today and tomorrow.
