Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Ravi Lamichhane and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) have reached a seven-point agreement to join the same party and contest the elections.
As per the agreement, Balen has moved forward by accepting Ravi as the leader of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, while Ravi has accepted Balen as the Prime Minister after the upcoming elections on Falgun 21.
Point number 4 of the agreement states, 'Ravi Lamichhane will remain the central president of the National Independent Party, and Balendra Shah will be the leader of the parliamentary party and the candidate for the future Prime Minister after the upcoming House of Representatives elections.'
The agreement signed by RSP President Ravi Lamichhane and Balen states that good governance will be maintained within a pluralistic democratic system that is committed to the equitable progress of Nepal and believes in a liberal economy with social justice. It is also stated that both parties have agreed to unite, recognizing the fact that cooperation between all civilized and transformative political forces is indispensable to address the aspirations of the common citizen.
The first point of the agreement states that the Gen-G movement will be adopted. It is also stated that they are committed to addressing their demands.
