The voting process for the selection of the new leadership of the UML has ended. Bharat Pokharel, a member of the Central Election Commission for the 11th General Convention, said that the voting process has ended.

Member Pokharel also informed that 2,227 general convention delegates voted in the election. He said, '2,227 votes have been cast. 36 people have been absent.'

He also said that the results will be made public by 10:30 am on Thursday. 'We will make the results public by 10:30 am if there are no problems. Right now, we are working on locking and verifying the machine. After that, it will be sealed with verification. And after everyone agrees, we will start counting the votes.'

Voting, which began at 9:12 am on Wednesday, continued throughout the night. Despite the use of electronic voting machines that produce quick results, it did not go as expected. Due to this, the general convention, which was supposed to end in three days, has been extended by two more days. 11 out of 301 central committee members and 19 office bearers have been elected unopposed.

The delegates will have to choose 290. This time, the machine had a setting that prevented a candidate from moving forward without voting, so no candidate could move forward without voting.
