He stated in the statement that he has claimed the leadership to develop UML as a decisive national force through collective leadership and initiative by assigning responsibilities to party leaders according to their qualifications, capabilities and interests. Pokharel urged the party to use high discretion in the selection of party general convention delegates, and to actively participate in a healthy, dignified and fearless manner.
