Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the coordinator of the newly formed Nepali Communist Party, has said that 10 communist constituents have collectively shouldered the heavy burden of being the party's coordinator.
At the party unification announcement program, he said that this unity is historic in the Nepali communist movement.
‘I have been given a huge responsibility as the coordinator of 10 components,’ he said, ‘I feel special joy and pride. Everyone has the same idea. The belief that we can face the country’s challenges together has been created.’
Now the new party will move forward in a new way, he said. ‘Now we can move the party forward in a new way.’ Today will be a day that will never be forgotten in the history of the Nepali communist movement,’ he said, ‘There is no day in communist history when 10 components have united.’ This unity is unprecedented, historic and extraordinary. It has been marked as a historic day.’
He said that he will prepare the basis for new national unity and national independence.
