The 48-year-old completed his primary education from Lumbini Shishu Sadan School in Bhairawa. After passing the SLC examination in 1st class in 2049, he did ISC from Nepal Science Campus. Completed MBBS from Manipal College of Medical Sciences, Pokhara.

Internal  MD in Medicine . After completing MD, his dream was to do DM (Doctor of Medicine) in Neurology . However, at that time DM had not started in neurology in Nepal. He had to go abroad for that. However, he was not ready to leave his family and go abroad. At the same time, he met Indian neurologist Prof. Dr. PBS Rana learned that he is trying to start Neurology in DM in Nepal. Pvt. Dr. After getting in touch with Rana, he started studying DM Neurology at the College of Medical Sciences, Chitwan and completed his DM Neurology studies in 2013 . Dr. Thapa has also graduated from the famous Howard University in America with a degree in 'Safety Quality Leadership and Informative'. He graduated from Howard in 2024.

While working in Kathmandu, Dr. Thapa launched the Neuro Allied Medical Center in Bhairahawa in 2014. He still comes to the clinic every week on Fridays and Saturdays to provide treatment. Patients from Far West to Patna in India come to his clinic in Bhairawa. Lately, he has been introducing himself to the youth generation as a social campaigner. The impact of medical services and social activism has taken him from doctor to political journey to RSVP candidate.
