The Federal Democratic Front of Madhesh-centric parties is in trouble over who to nominate as candidate in the Rupandehi Representative Assembly Constituency No. 3. The front had earlier decided to share the candidates of Civil Liberties Party in the area.

However, the Morcha is in trouble after not including civil immunity in the party registration list issued by the Election Commission for the by-elections. The party was not included in the party registration list because the commission could not deliver the documents as requested. Commission Spokesperson Nita Pokharel said that even though Civil Liberation Party applied for party registration, it could not be registered as the necessary documents could not be delivered. "The commission has given time to deliver the documents and since the relevant party could not bring the necessary documents within that time, the party was not included in the registration list," she said. For the purposes of the House of Representatives by-election scheduled for Rupandehi-3 on October 17th, the commission had given party registration time from July 21st to July 27th.

Which parties were registered for the by-elections in Rupandehi-3? [with list]

There has been an internal dispute going on for a long time in Naupa. The Election Commission has already given a decision in favor of President Ranjita Shrestha in the dispute of officialdom. The Resham Choudhary party decided to remove Shrestha as the party president and made Lalveer Choudhary the president and informed the commission. However, the commission rejected it and retained the chairmanship of Shrestha. Both parties submitted separate party registration applications to the Commission. However, Chaudhary's side did not get official status. The superior party could not deliver the necessary documents . Due to the internal dispute of the party, it could not be registered with the Commission for by-election purposes.  

What will the Morcha do now after deciding to give Rupandahi-3 to Naupa? Front leader Janata Pragatisheel Party President Hridayash Tripathi says that the decision to make Naupa's candidate the common candidate of the front has not been changed. "However, some problems have arisen because the party itself is not registered for election purposes," he said. "A meeting of the Morcha has been called on Wednesday to discuss the matter." Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, Democratic Samajwadi Party, Janmat Party, Rashtriya Mukti Party Nepal, Janata Pragatisheel Party, Nepal and Tarai Madhesh Democratic Party are members of the Morcha. However, Janmaat Party has not agreed on the issue of making Naupa's candidate a common candidate from the beginning. He had already announced that his candidate would remain separate as he did not form a front for the electoral alliance. According to the agreement in the front, other parties except Naupa did not go to the registration process for the purpose of by-election. However, public opinion has registered the party. 

Apart from Janmat, all other parties affiliated to the front decided to support Naupa's candidate. However, now that Naupa Dal is not registered, they are faced with the dilemma of what to do next. Tripathi said that there are various options and that matter will be discussed in the front. He said that the independent candidate who will be forwarded by Naupa can be shared. 

'We are strong in Rupandehi 3 . I have recently spent some time in that area,' he said, 'We are going to win if we give a common candidate.' A discussion has started between the leaders of the front to choose a popular person and make them independent candidates.

Rashtriya Prajatantra Party candidate Deepak Bohra was elected from Rupandehi 3 in the 2079 election. Due to his death, a by-election is about to be held in that area. While Bohra got 36 thousand 717 votes, his closest rival Balkrishna Khand got 34 thousand 36 votes. Jit Bahadur Gupta Teli of Rashtriya Swatantra Party got 5 thousand 796 votes and took the third place . On the proportional side, the Civil Liberation Party took the fourth place . Among the parties affiliated to the Morcha, since Naupa got the most votes, the Morcha decided to make its candidate a common candidate . The votes received by the parties affiliated to the front, including Naupa, Jaspa Nepal, Lospa, were 16 thousand 400. Apart from that, the votes received by public opinion were 3 thousand 732 . When adding all the votes, Morcha will appear in the second position on the proportional side. That's why there is a front in the strategy to make the election results in their favor by giving a common candidate . However, the public opinion did not agree on the matter of supporting Naupa and now Naupa is not qualified for by-election purposes.

Another leader of the front, Terai Madhesh Democratic Party President Vrishesh Chandra Lal sees a conspiracy in stopping the Civil Liberation Party outside the elections. When the front is united, there is a possibility of winning. That's why there is a conspiracy against it by the ruling party," he said. "It was found that the commission should give an alternative to the party that wants to go to the election instead of stopping the party registration saying that it is not enough. The decision of the Commission has created a problem.' He said that other parties of the Front did not go for party registration in the Commission so as not to raise doubts about mutual understanding. The front has the option of raising an independent candidate or supporting its candidate as the Janmaat party affiliated to the front is registered. "The front will fight the elections unitedly, Lal said, "The front meeting will take the necessary measures."
