As much as I was excited to read an article on 'Mrityu Chintan' published in Koseli on Saturday in Kantipur, I felt sad after reading some of the articles. As serious as the subject of death was, the articles did not seem so serious.
I didn't get what I was hoping for in the articles on death thoughts. Contemplation of death unconnected with life is incomplete contemplation. Is the thought of death an anti-life thought?, What is death?, Thoughts about death, Philosophical explanations of death, sensitivity to death, existence or non-existence after death, fear of death, etc.
A serious topic like 'death' is connected with many aspects of life and life. In fact, is death true?, Does death exist?, Where there is life, how can there be death?, Where there is light, there is darkness?, Is death really another name for the end?, After death, everything ends or after death, another existence begins?
In the end what is our life?, Who am I?, What is ego? The question of death is connected with the question of etc. Does our future end after death or does the real future begin then? This is a deep question.
People make many collections for the future. They accumulate money to make it easy in their old age. We strive today for a beautiful future but the real future begins after death and nothing we collect can be taken to the afterlife.
