Search for competent leadership

Due to the 'anti-social' users who are active on social media, it became more famous than it should have been: the 'royal throne' fascination of Gyanendra Shah and the three-cornered 'movement' and accident in his favor. This accident was certainly not unexpected in the city of Kathmandu where the weather is heating up.

Gyanendra Shah's activities were seen as mysterious since a long time ago. Guru Gorakhnath's monastery in Gorakhpur, an important city in Uttar Pradesh, India, attracted Gyanendra Shah. The mahants of the Math were associated with the temple of Guru Gorakhnath in Gorkha, considered the stronghold of the Shah dynasty.

Yogi Adityanath of the Gorakhnath Math in Gorakhpur, who has ties to the Mahants of Gorkha, is active in Bharatiya Janata Party politics. He is now the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He has good reach and reputation in central Indian politics. Gyanendra Shah's attraction to the temple of Guru Gorakhnath in Gorakhpur was not religious but political.

Yogi Adityanath's growing influence in Indian politics did not attract Gyanendra Shah. Yogi's relationship with Gorkha was emotional. Not only Gyanendra Shah, Nepali Congress Dr. Shashank Koirala, Dr. Some influential leaders including Meenendra Rizal established friendly relations with Yogi Adityanath. This relationship was not unnatural. Gorakhpur is known as an important city connected to western Nepal both religiously and commercially.

There have been signs of turmoil in Nepal's political level for some time. After the epochal changes, the political leaders who came to the leadership could not show any good in governance and administration, and the people were disappointed. The leaders of the country's main political parties, the Congress, UML, and the Maoist Party, which emerged as a new power, who were considered proficient in political skills, were beginning to prove to be a 'pile of chaff' in matters of governance and administration.

Leaders who show kindness to their relatives and focus on their own interests have no experience of good governance. They neither understood the feelings of the people, nor did they realize their responsibility towards the people. They considered the change to be their 'personal pursuit' and reveled in it. These parties won the elections. However, it was not seen that the leaders of the party would maintain political harmony and work according to the sentiments of the people.

The leaders never realized the need to find the right path for the development of the country together with the parties. Power was the sole aim of the leaders. That's why they got stuck in internal strife and inter-party conflict. The parties are moving away from the trust of the people who are aspiring for change.

It is not unusual for Gyanendra Shah to be unsatisfied and unsatisfied after leaving the throne and becoming a 'free' citizen. Having been king twice, he aspired to be king for the third time. There was wealth. was heavy. Long before his father Mahendra and brother Virendra, on 7 November 1950, the then 'Prime Minister' and Commander in Chief Shri 3 Maharaj Mohanshamsher declared him Sripech 'Pahiryaer' Raja.

For Gyanendra, it was not acceptable for his father and grandfather to take over the people of the country where the sovereignty was vested in themselves. By showing the inaction of the leaders who were proving to be incapable of democratic governance, they were eager to re-establish themselves as active kings.

He understood that the people were in need and were dissatisfied. However, he did not understand how strong the desire for freedom was among the people. If the established freedom could be overturned by the sheer force of human resources, there would be no shortage of kings, emperors, feudal lords and dictators in the world.

There is no theoretical concept of monarchy in the minds of modern Nepali people. Although Prithvi Narayan Shah's unification campaign was successful, his descendants could not keep the power of their patriarch 'RJ' firmly in their hands. Representatives of elites like Pandey and Thapa established their dominance over the state. During this, many conspiracies and a series of murders took place in the palace. After Jung Bahadur Kunwar gained his grip on the state power, that chain stopped. The Rajas became captives of the Ranas.

The 'hereditary' Rana rule thus established lasted for 104 years. After the people's revolution of 2007, the Ranas were displaced. The concept of constitutional monarchy and multi-party democracy was established in the country. However, King Mahendra ended that concept on January 1, 2017. He dissolved the parliamentary system established by the People's Revolution.

The elected Prime Minister BP Koirala, Ganeshman Singh, Krishna Prasad Bhattarai and dozens of other leaders were imprisoned. He started direct autocratic rule in the name of independent Panchayat. Jawaharlal Nehru, the great leader and Prime Minister of neighboring India at that time, turned a blind eye to this act of King Mahendra.

That system of King Mahendra continued from March 2017 to March 2046. To maintain that system, King Mahendra gave the slogan that the nationality of Nepal is in danger. He supported himself in that slogan.

King Birendra ended the independent Panchayat system due to the 2046 mass movement and entered into a constitutional monarchy and a multi-party democratic system. Later, the country was embroiled in a Maoist civil war. The impact of the People's War was widespread throughout the country. In the meantime, King Birendra's dynasty was destroyed in the palace massacre. Then the country plunged into a kind of black terror and chaos.

After this unthinkable event, even though Gyanendra Shah was duly ascended to the throne, Gyanendra Shah could not be popular as a king. He failed miserably. The conflicting constitutional parties and the insurgent armed Maoist party, which had been battered by his rule, joined forces. The reconciliation between them ended the monarchy. However, there could not be mutual coordination among the party leaders. They were confused.

In the first post-change elections, the Maoists won a near majority. His position deteriorated in the subsequent elections. Nepali Congress, UML and Maoist and other religious parties, the main parties that organized the second people's movement, could not do public welfare work as the people wanted. Despite the rivalry in the elections, none of the party leaders wanted to be serious about the basic needs and development of the country.

Now the country is financially poor. People are suffocated by the pressure of poverty. Corruption is spreading like an epidemic. The development of agriculture, water resources, industry, trade, foreign trade, tourism and environment is in a critical state.

Ministers are saying on their own authority that there is no alternative to foreign employment unless employment opportunities are created in the country. According to the statement of the concerned minister, during the last 16 years, fourteen thousand Nepalis who went for foreign employment have lost their lives. How to get employment opportunities in the country and how long will it take? The government has neither the courage nor the plan to say that.

The younger generation of the country is confused. This generation is now looking for a hero. However, no such reliable hero has been seen in the Nepalese environment. In this situation, Gyanendra Shah must have felt that if he were to move forward at this time, he would be able to easily seize the throne stored in the museum and become the hero of the disaffected youth. During the independent Panchayat era, the slogan 'Raja Aau, Desh Bachau' raised by the eight watchmen of the palace in the name of the people would spontaneously resound. However, it is not likely to happen at this time.

On the other hand, there is a strong possibility that any such move by Gyanendra Shah will endanger the wealth he has accumulated legally and illegally. Now, Gyanendra Shah must have been shocked to see the crowd gathered by courtiers and Athapaharias on the streets. Tomorrow, if this crowd goes to Tundikhel looking for an account of the wealth he has accumulated, what will be the result? Don't imagine that it won't happen.

Even though minor riots and slogan rallies continue, the political situation in Nepal seems to be somewhat calm. However, if the economy of the country is not managed in time, the shadow of rebellion will remain for a long time. The current leadership of the parties is neither capable nor strong enough for progressive change.

Congress President Deuba or UML President and Prime Minister Oli or Maoist President Prachanda, or why not other contemporary leaders - no one seems to have an open mind. People's trust and confidence in them is not lost. These leaders are so engrossed in the arrogance of power that they are not ready to listen to anyone.

People are looking for reliable and capable leadership from the path determined by the constitution of the federal republic. During the reign of autocratic monarchy, the people have suffered immense physical and mental hardships. The people are upset because the leaders of the prevailing parties do not have the ability to lead the federal republican system. They are not in a position to bear the burden of incompetent leadership.

The situation is very serious. If the party leaders do not understand the seriousness of the situation and improve their character and organization, the country will fall into chaos. Now is the time for leaders to embrace this truth.
