The Lalitpur District Court has issued a 21-day notice to Jyoti Gurung, the ex-wife of Congress leader Dhanraj Gurung, involved in the Miteri Cooperative embezzlement case.
The court has issued a public notice to Gurung to appear in court. Gurung is accused of embezzling Rs 125 million from Miteri Cooperative in Lalitpur. It was decided not to prosecute Dhanraj.

‘Furthermore, Bodh Bikram Thapa has filed a transaction case in your name, and the time limit issued in your name by this court is hereby revoked and, as per the order dated 5th Jestha, this time limit notice has been published in your name in accordance with Sub-section (22) of Section 105 of the Civil Procedure Code, 2074 BS,’ the notice states, ‘You must appear in this court, in person or through a legal representative, within 21 days, excluding travel time, from the date of publication of this time limit notice in the newspaper, along with a response letter along with proof of your presence. If you do not appear within the time limit and the time limit expires, the case will be considered as per the law. You will not have any complaint later.’
