In this year's spring Everest climbing season, the rope fixing team has successfully completed the rope fixing mission on the summit of Everest. With this, the first successful Everest summit of the season has been achieved.
According to Rishiram Bhandari, General Secretary of the Mountaineering Operators Association of Nepal, the team that proceeded by hanging ropes has reached the peak of Everest and has succeeded in completely opening the route.
According to Seven Summit Treks, the rope fixing team, which included three Sherpas from Seven Summit Treks, Mingtemba Sherpa, Pasang Nurbu Sherpa and Dendy Sherpa, along with other members, reached the summit of Everest (southern route) at 10:25 am today.
After successfully fixing the ropes to the balcony (8,400 meters) since last night, the first and second fixing teams have completed the final stage via the South Summit and reached the summit, the association has said.
Those who have successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest are Mingma Dorchi Sherpa (Sankhuwasabha), Mingma Tenje Sherpa (Sankhuwasabha), Pem Dorje Sherpa (Solukhumbu), Pasang Tenzing Sherpa (Sankhuwasabha), Lopsang Bhote (Taplejung), Chhomba Tenji Sherpa (Sankhuwasabha), Mingma Nurbu Sherpa (Sankhuwasabha), Pasang Tashi Sherpa (Sankhuwasabha), Furtenji Sherpa (Sankhuwasabha), Guru Bhote (Sankhuwasabha), Mingtemba Sherpa (Seven Summit Treks – 14 Peaks Climber), Pasang Nurbu Sherpa (Seven Summit Treks), Dendi Sherpa (Dolakha) and Pasang Ngima Sherpa (Imagine Nepal).
According to Seven Summit Treks, the entire team was under a lot of pressure from the beginning of this season due to problems and delays in the Khumbu Icefall. But with the coordination and cooperation of all operators, the mission was successful, overcoming all difficulties.
This year, the base camp was established on April 6. The team reached the summit on the 37th day. Now, the path to the summit attempt has become easier for hundreds of climbers.
