Two more people have been arrested in connection with the investigation into the case of tampering with contract details by gaining unauthorized access to the Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) system. According to SP Shivakumar Shrestha, spokesperson of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), the arrested are Swedash Pokharel and Prakash Dhungana. Pokharel is a shareholder and accountant of Incon Pvt. Ltd., while Dhungana is a director of Kalpavriksha Builders Pvt. Ltd.
SP Shrestha informed that Pokharel was arrested on Saturday and Dhungana on Sunday. They are accused of altering the financial proposal documents of various contracts even before they were opened.
Former minister and RPP leader Bikram Pandey has also been arrested in the same case.
