In the case of the death of 16-year-old Inisha BK from Surkhet, relatives will receive the body after 27 days. The family has said that preparations are being made to cremate it at the Samjighat near Bheri Bridge on Thursday.
Inisha was found dead on Falgun 23 in the Birendranagar Municipality-1 area. The District Police Office, Surkhet, had started an investigation after the incident. Although the incident was initially considered suspicious, the police later moved forward with the investigation saying that it was a rape followed by murder.
Protests were held at various stages demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits and strict action. The body was kept in the hospital for a long time as it took time to collect the post-mortem report, digital evidence and other facts.
The family has agreed to receive the body only after 27 days after the legal process is completed, the police have informed.
