A clash has broken out between UML cadres and police who took to the streets demanding the release of UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

Some protesters were injured in the clash near the Bijulibazar Bridge, while some were taken into custody by the police.

The clash broke out after the protesters entered the middle lane of the road and got into an argument while the police were trying to force them to move aside. Police have said that they resorted to lathi-charge after the protesters started throwing stones.
