A 15-member study committee has been formed under the leadership of SSP Krishna Pangeni, including SP Dadhiram Neupane, to study the incident of Kanchanpur's teenager Nirmala Panta, who was raped and murdered after being raped, and to investigate the subsequent investigation and investigation report, and to bring those involved in the crime to justice.

Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki on Wednesday formed the study committee under the leadership of Pangeni along with the technical manpower of the police.

The committee includes Pangeni and Neupane, DSP Rabin Bhandari of the Police Forensic Science Laboratory, DSP duo Hari Khatiwada and Panchkumar Bakhu, inspector duo Deepak KC and Birendra BC, senior sub-inspectors Durga Kumar Yonjan, Lok Bahadur KC, Suryabhakta Shrestha and Kishore Jung Karki, sub-inspector Padam Thapa, constables Nar Bahadur Thapa, Madhav Khatri and jawan Bhesh Narayan Shrestha.

13-year-old Panta of Bhimdatta Municipality-2, Kanchanpur was found dead on 11 Shrawan 2075, during the investigation it was revealed that she was raped and murdered. However, due to negligence in the investigation, protests by both sides, pressure, influence, investigation, study and investigation that affected the investigation, no concrete conclusion has been reached. Questions have also been raised about the impartiality of the investigation and study reports conducted at various times.

Sarbendra Khanal was the IGP at the time of the incident, and this issue was not concluded during his tenure. After him, this issue could not be concluded during the tenures of Thakur Gyawali, Shailesh Thapa Chhetri, Dhiraj Pratap Singh, Basanta Kunwar, Deepak Thapa, Chandrakuber Khapung. Now, Inspector General Karki has again formed a committee led by SSP Pangeni to study and investigate the previous investigations, studies and investigation reports on this issue.
