Nepal Communist Party (NCP) coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the party will prepare for the party's unity convention. In a discussion held with the heads of the mass organizations on Thursday, he said that the party will hold a convention and go in a new way.
'The party will go to the convention soon. There is a need to take the party in a new way,' he said.
In the meeting, Dahal stated that the NCP has been in favor of elections from the beginning and said that the elections have saved democracy, federalism and the constitution, but his party has not been able to bring the expected results.
'If there had been no election, the country would have risked going into a dark tunnel. Bringing the constitution into line through the election is the most important thing for everyone right now,' he said, 'The main thing for us is not what the election results were. Federalism, democracy and the constitution were saved.' This is a big thing.'
He also wished the National Independent Party good luck as it is preparing to form the government. Leader Rajendra Shrestha, who participated in the meeting, informed that a meeting will be held soon to review the election and formulate a program.
The meeting discussed the need to quickly integrate the mass organizations of workers, farmers, women and students.
