Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has urged voters to be confident that the election will be fair and free from fraud. Aryal, who arrived in Bajhang to monitor election security preparations, said that those who attempt to occupy booths and cast fake votes in the election will be taken into custody and prosecuted.

'There is a record of such activities in Bajhang in the past elections. The security system has made full preparations to prevent it from happening this time,' said Home Minister Aryal. 'First of all, preparations have been made to warn people not to engage in undesirable activities and to take action against those who do not comply.'

After discussing with the chief of the security agencies, he said that he found the preparations to hold the elections in a peaceful environment to be very efficient. He stressed that since the current government is a civilian government and not a political party, no one should be allowed to engage in wrongdoing in the elections. A detailed report was published in the Kantipur daily a few days ago about the trend of booth capture, clashes and fake voting in Bajura and Bajhang.  Home Minister Aryal came to Bajhang and told the chiefs of the security agencies that the government is ready to provide any necessary assistance to make the elections peaceful, said Chief District Officer Mukesh Kumar Kesari. 'He is also satisfied with our preparations. "He has also expressed a commitment to provide additional assistance immediately if needed," said Pradya Kesari, adding, "His on-site monitoring has boosted the morale of the entire security forces."
