24 injured in Dhading bus accident sent to Kathmandu

The injured in the bus accident that occurred in Charaudi of Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality today have been sent to Kathmandu for further treatment. 

The bus number 22 Kha 1421 coming from Pokhara to Kathmandu fell into the Trishuli at around 1:15 am today.  The death toll in the accident has reached 18, the police have confirmed. 25 people have been injured. Of the injured, 24 have been sent to Kathmandu for further treatment. One of the injured is being treated at Malekhu Teaching Hospital. She is a New Zealand citizen. Since her condition is normal, she said that she would not go to Kathmandu and will receive treatment there.

The body of the deceased has been sent to Gajuri Community Hospital for postmortem.  The bus left Pokhara's Tourist Bus Park for Kathmandu at 7 pm on Sunday. Some foreign nationals also boarded the bus operated by Prithvirajmarg Bus Operating Company Pvt. Ltd. According to Ain Kumar Shahi, the chairman of the bus operating committee, bus owner Om Kumar Shrestha was also in the same bus. He died on the spot. The driver is missing.
