Rajkumar Timilsina, who escaped from the Sundhara Central Jail during the protest on Bhadra 10, has been arrested in Pokhara.

He was arrested from Pokhara by the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Team on Wednesday evening. He was being brought to Kathmandu from Pokhara, informed AIG Ishwor Karki of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office.

Recently, he had been making various allegations by posting photos of judges on social media.

The Supreme Court had sentenced Timilsina to six months in prison on Asoj 13 in the case of making fake audio that defamed Supreme Court judges, legal practitioners, media entrepreneurs and journalists.

The Supreme Court had ruled that the audio material broadcast by ‘Sidhakura.com’ under the name of ‘Dark File’ was ‘fake’. The 9-member expanded full bench of the Supreme Court had held the producers and broadcasters in contempt of court and sentenced them to imprisonment. Timilsina, who made the audio, which was also proven to be ‘fake’ by laboratory tests, was sentenced to 6 months in prison, and Yubaraj Kandel and Navin Dhungana of ‘Sidhakura.com’, who broadcast it, were sentenced to 3 months in prison each. Similarly, it was decided to fine ‘Sidhakura’ Online Rs. 5,000. Timilsina was arrested by the Area Police Office, Itahari, on the 5th.
