A special court has ordered the detention of former minister Rajkumar Gupta, who is facing a corruption case on charges of accepting bribes. Gupta was involved in the Batulechaur land case in Pokhara.
The bench of Special Court Chairman Sudarshan Dev Bhatt and members Dilli Ratna Shrestha and Vidur Koirala ordered that he be sent to custody. After Gupta's statement, which appeared in the Special Court on Wednesday, there was a closed-door discussion. The Special Court has ordered that the case be continued while keeping him in custody.
